The road trip of a donkey who takes and sees things differently!

  • In May and June, a small donkey traveled through three countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia) and spread the message "Be Like a Donkey" in 13 cities to as many as 174 healthcare professionals.

    OUT OF THE BOX

    This donkey story was a central part of a two-hour workshop, the purpose of which was to explore the Alternativni MOD/DOM magazine and share its philosophy of creative and out-of-the-box thinking with professionals from the region. The workshop emphasized the importance of teamwork and sharing ideas and best practices among professionals. To achieve this, participants were encouraged in an alternative way to have fun together through various activities.

    REACTIONS OF PARTICIPANTS

    In a system where the daily routine often consists of difficult and painful decisions, these two hours full of joy were seen as a welcome refreshment. It offered participants the chance to look at their team, themselves and their work from a different perspective and to believe again that miracles are possible. Participants' reactions were enthusiastic, "The workshop was very well designed to 'open our eyes' and show how creative we are and how important teamwork and strategy are in our work.", "It is surprising to discover that we can make something beautiful out of the simplest things.", "After a long time, I laughed again."

    The workshop tour showed that even the smallest things, like the story of a donkey, can make a big difference in the professional lives of youth service professionals and inspire them to look at their work with fresh eyes.
